Secondary Success and Beyond Scholarship
Our scholarship supports first-generation and underserved students in Winnebago, Boone, Ogle, and Stephenson Counties as they pursue college, trade school, or career training.
Campaign Impact: Thanks to our community, the 27 for the Class of 2027 campaign is fully funded, growing our endowed Secondary Success & Beyond Scholarship Fund for years to come.

We want to help local students reach their full potential. You can apply if you meet these goals:
Scholarship Specifications
Preference given to those who have not received an award in the current cycle and those who plan to return to Northern Illinois.
Mentoring & Service
Demonstrated commitment to mentoring and/or community service (peer mentoring, youth program, etc.)
Local Impact
Dedicated to building a successful future right here in our community.
Current Students
A current college student or students actively pursuing a trade or certification at an accredited institution.

Can I apply if I’m already in college?
Yes! This scholarship was created just for you!
Can I use the scholarship for trade school?
Absolutely. We support students pursuing degrees at two-year or four-year colleges, as well as those entering trade schools or certified career training programs.
How will I receive the funds?
Scholarship funds are sent directly to the financial aid office of the school or training program you will be attending to help cover your tuition and fees.
