Secondary Success and Beyond is looking for volunteers to mentor our students. Students will be sophomores, juniors and seniors in high school or current college students looking for guidance on their journey to becoming first generation college students, graduates and professionals. Responsibilities

Meet with your mentee on a regular basis

Set up a regular meeting schedule with your mentee.

Assist them with the following tasks. For example,

Choosing school that are a good fit for them to apply to

Filling out the applications

Applying for scholarships
-
Filling out the FAFSA
-
Writing essays for scholarship applications

Resume and cover letter writing
-
Interview skills
-
Professionalism
-
Networking
-

Keep mentors on a schedule and make sure they meet deadlines

Encourage and empower
-
Encourage them to be involved in activities outside of class to help build their resume
